Work with Us
Most of our team didn't answer a job ad — they started here as school-based trainees and never really left. But we do advertise when we're hiring, and both paths are below. Questions? Call 07 3820 9000 — Ed's PCs Victoria Point07 3824 8867 — Ed's PCs Alexandra Hills.

School-based Traineeships — Years 10 to 12
This is how most of our staff started. If you're in high school and you'd rather spend a day a week doing real work in a real shop than only reading about it, a school-based traineeship gets you paid work, a qualification and a head start — and at the end of it, we often offer the standouts a full-time job.
One Day a Week, Paid
You get one school day a week to come and do real, paid work in the store — serving customers, building machines, learning the bench.
A Nationally Recognised Qualification
You finish with a Certificate III in retail, business or IT — government-funded training, at no cost to you.
It Counts Toward Your ATAR
A completed traineeship contributes to your end-of-year-12 results (the ATAR — what the old OP score became).
Start in Year 10 or 11
It's a two-year program, so you need to start in year 10 or 11 to finish it by the end of year 12. Year 12s: ask us about casual work instead.
How to Get Started
- 1. Talk to your school's traineeship coordinator first. They arrange the program with us — that's the official front door, and they'll handle the paperwork side.
- 2. Do a two-week trial. Two single trial days, so both sides know it's a fit before anything's signed.
- 3. Pick your stream. Certificate III in retail, business or IT — we'll help you choose based on what you enjoy once you've seen the shop from the inside.
Keen but not sure about a full traineeship? We also take school work experience placements — mention it in the form below.
Employment and Disability Agencies
We work with employment agencies and disability employment services on work trials and government incentive programs. If you're a case manager with a candidate who'd suit retail or tech work, get in touch directly — we've done this before and we know how the paperwork goes.
Apply
For an advertised position, a general application, a traineeship or work experience — same form. Attach a resume if you have one; if you're applying for a traineeship and don't have one yet, that's completely normal, just tell us about yourself in the message.
Application sent — thanks.
It's with the store now. If it looks like a fit we'll be in touch about a chat or a trial day — and if you don't hear back within a week, you're welcome to ring and ask.
